| Emma Watson and the Deathly Hallows could have used assistance Posted: 01 Feb 2011 10:40 PM PST Knowing the Harry Potter fan base is really huge, and realizing that it would, in fact, be the fans that purchase the Blu-Rays and DVD’s, they decided to have people stop by and vote on the UK cover. The polls closed Sunday night and the results have been tallied. You can see the winning image on the right. Yep, that’s one of the promo posters and it’s also the new look of the DVD and Blu-Ray packaging. The other choice was basically the same; only it showed a closer view of the three running through the woods. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One will out on DVD and Blu-Ray in the U.K. on April 11, 2011, while the U.S. will have to wait a few more days. It’ll be available in the States on April 15th. |
| Posted: 01 Feb 2011 10:33 PM PST Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint carrying Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 to Blu-ray: Warner Home Video has announced that the first installment in the final film HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 1 (HP 7.1), starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes, will be released on Blu-ray April 15, 2011 in a BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack. And in order to generate even more publicity, the studio has set up a website for the Quest for the Hallows, which is a global online adventure that offers exclusive photos, video content and a chance to win prizes throughout the year to celebrate the success of the Harry Potter films. You can see the second installment, HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 2 this summer when it hits theaters on July 15, 2011.
